York - Helmsley

 Walked into York after breakfast, less than 10 minutes from apartment.

                                The Shambles






                                  York Minster 



After booking tickets for Friday we climbed the city walls. The Romans built some parts of the wall as far back as 71 AD.

Then drove to Helmsley, about 24 miles away. A gorgeous small village packed with character and interesting shops!









And a delicious pork belly sandwich for lunch! 😋

A gorgeous day in the North East of England with sunshine and 15 degrees! Making the most of the sunshine before the weather turns.
