Paris

A very quiet day after late night at rugby, plus temperature reached 35 and it is just too hot to be outside unless you can find shade somewhere, but even then it is still very challenging!

Had a nice breakfast at Strada, including a flat white for Anne. Olivia and I had a crack at the filter coffee for a change.

The girls then caught the Metro to La Marais for some shopping. I rested up at the hotel and did some admin work … well that’s what I call it!

Pre dinner drinks at Place des la Contrescarpe - a 5min walk from the hotel and adjacent to Rue Mouffetard. The square was absolutely packed, but we were able to find a table under some mist sprinklers - yay! 🥳

The place was still heaving after dinner at 10pm!

Found a lovely Greek restaurant for dinner with a very friendly owner from Crete. He sat down at one stage and chatted away, wasn’t sure when he was going to leave!

Checking out eating spots on Rue Mouffetard.

Saw this place on Mouffetard on our way back to hotel after dinner … look at the queue!!

Three good days in Paris, however the extreme heat did affect how much we could do each day, and when. But a magnificent city and so many things to see and do! Looking forward to spending a week here in early November before we fly home.
Au revoir Paris. 🇫🇷
