Paris
Olivia arrived at the hotel just before midnight. Breakfast with the Cordings then went walking.
First stop The Pantheon constructed between 1758 and 1790, within the 5th arrondissement, at the centre of Place du Pantheon.
Then on to Luxembourg Gardens
Temperature reached 34 by midday so it was time to grab a bite to eat and head back to hotel for a siesta. Said farewell to the Cordings as they were changing accommodation before the rugby tonight.
Not sure where we would watch the rugby, found a pub near hotel that was going to have it, but also decided to check out the Fan Zone at Place de La Concorde.
Caught Metro, along with 1000s of others, and also plenty of security visible.
Well, so glad we did! Atmosphere was amazing and we had a wonderful experience (even though we were beaten). Spoke with lots of people; a young woman from Atlanta Georgia, helped her with a few rugby questions, Chilean supporters, and even an Aussie cheering for us!
As you can tell from photos, it was hot!! 🥵 Kept hydrated with beer, wine and water! Left just before full time and caught Metro back to hotel. Olivia very kindly went to Mouffetard and got us a souvalaki to eat before heading to bed at 12.45am!!
Au revoir and congratulations to Les Bleus! 🇫🇷
