Paris - London

Olivia left us early to meet up with friends. Headed out for breakfast with a 15 min walk to Jozi and we’re not disappointed!

We had to wait 10min for a table, but by the time we left it looked like this!

As we were leaving, we saw this at the end of the street … it was The Pantheon.

And then we saw Saint Etienne Church. The church contains the shrine of St. Genevieve, the patron saint of Paris. Construction took place between 1494-1624.

Decided to have a look as people were walking in through the main entrance, and it was somewhere cool. We witnessed beautiful music and singing before the Sunday service began at 11am.

Then back to hotel for our bags and an Uber to Gard du Nord (North Station).

A 2 hour 18 min trip on the Eurostar travelling at speeds up to 272km! May have reached higher speeds but I didn’t see it. So Ed at St Pancras station.

Grabbed an Uber and arrived at Olivia’s flat in Angel.  Greeted by Sherman upon our arrival and he was expecting a walk!

After a walk and a pee (Sherman!), it was time for Sherman to return home, and for us to find a pub for a beer and something to eat.

Temperature still around 30 degrees, but still cooler than we have been experiencing in Europe. 👏

Found pub nearby, which obviously is not hard in London. Decided the sound of the Sunday roast was pretty appealing after 8 weeks in Europe. Note: we loved the food in Europe … but it was nice to have a traditional roast with veges and gravy!! And a Yorkshire pud!

Great to be back in London Town! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
