Looe - Polperro

Last night’s Dobble game which got very loud and raucous!!

On Olivia’s advice, we decided to walk the Coast Walkway from Looe to Polperro after breakfast, a mere 4 3/4 mile journey. So we left the apartment in high spirits and walked through town to pick up the walkway.

Still all smiles at this stage!

Things soon became a bit more challenging and steep!

So time for a rest - Woody agrees!

Approaching Talland Bay we made a group decision to ‘box on’ to Polperro for coffee and scones rather than stop with only 1 1/4 miles to go!

Loved these cosy snugs at cafe!

Finally, we are in sight of Polperro after 2.5 hours!

A gorgeous wee town, smaller than Looe, but very quaint with narrow streets, small shops, and lots of cafes selling Cornish pasties and scones and cream!

After a look around, we found the bus stop to get us back to Looe.

Feeling the effects of our 2.5 hour hike, it was time for sometime eat. I went for the sardine and cheese panini which was very tasty! Tomorrow we must try the crab sandwich, a Cornish specialty, so we are told.
