Looe - Plaidy - Millendreath - Fowey

Walked down to the beachfront with Olivia before breakfast.

After breakfast left Robert and Olivia at apartment working and headed to Plaidy - east of Looe.

Thought we would then forge on to the next bay - Millendreath, although there was no clear walkway, involved careful navigation of slippery rocks! We were at the point of turning back, but Woody shot ahead of us, slipped into a pool, and once I had pulled him out he continued onto the beach. We were left with no option but to continue with the challenge ahead of us in order to get to Woody!

Crisis averted and onto Millendreath Beach and the camp ground.

Time to head back to Looe and some well deserved lunch.

                      Cornish pastie on the beach!

Then it was time for a swim in the English Channel, I’m sure the majority of people on the beach thought we were mad! Water temperature was around 17 degrees. We were the only ones in the water, although someone had been in just before us.

Thought our day was over until Nicola said they were going for a drive to Fowey, a 20 minute drive from Looe. Crossed on the ferry.

Surprised to see a cruiser in town!

A very productive day; good walk, Cornish pasty, swim in the English Channel and another cute Cornish town!
