Ljubljana - Celje
Quiet day in Ljubljana yesterday (Monday), the bodies required rest after our paddle boarding at Lake Bohinj the day before!
Back to one of our favourite cafes in the morning for brunch with Grace (my sister’s daughter). Both breakfasts were yum!
Then a stroll around around town and a few more pics. There was a public holiday Monday to acknowledge the recent floods and many shops were not open.
Tuesday
Drove to Celje for Riki’s 70th birthday. Coffee and a walk around Celje with our personal guide Uros!
Walk around Celje
Then off to Riki’s 70th birthday 🥳. Everyone was under shelter or looking for shade as it was 28 degrees!
Pig on a spit - traditional Serbian dish. Riki’s wife Maza is from Serbia, hence a number of Serbian dishes
Time for speeches for the birthday boy - Ksenija, Riki’s sister, starts things off
Riki and his mate on the Rikija!
And no meal is complete without Maza’s Serbian coffee!
Another great day with the family, including Serbian dancing!!
Amazing time you’re both having, looks fabulous.
