Celje

Stayed at Ksenija and Bojan’s Tuesday night after Riki’s birthday. Decided on a quiet stroll along the Savinja River  and a coffee stop mid morning. You can still see debris in the river from the recent floods.

Sam and Urh recommended a “nice walk” along the river, over a swing bridge and back through the forest to the township … didn’t tell us it was approximately 7 kms!!

Then on to the blue swing bridge in 28 degrees … finally, and badly in need of shade!

That evening we walked into town for dinner at Lalu with Bojan, Ksenija and Uros.

You will notice there is no cutlery on the table. Each seat had their own pull-out drawer with the cutlery, a very cool idea and a definite first for us! Note the drawer on Anne’s right. 

Sam and Urh picked us up around 7.30pm and a 45 minute drive back to Ljubljana. 

Had to share Maza’s apple cake from the birthday. Very much like apple shortcake - was yum! 😋
