Beaulieu sur Mer

Woke to cloud and 22 degrees … our first major reprieve from the heat in 6 weeks! Breakfast on the balcony then the rain began so we extended our sunshade and made another coffee.

Quite happy relaxing and reading for a while! 😎

Walked down to the town when rain stopped.

Our accommodation - used to be the residence of Lord Salisbury, Prime Minister of England (1885-1902).

                                    Beaulieu

Love the flowers bordering the path on right.

The French Riviera when it is raining. ☔️ Plenty of room on the beach!

You could book a room at the Royal Riviera Hotel overlooking the beach from €550 per night upwards, excluding taxes & fees.

We walked around the peninsula to Saint Jean Cap Ferrat and for those of you of a certain age  … you will remember the actor David Niven. He used to own this house.

                             Then on to the port

                              Pointe Saint Hospice

Had planned to walk around the entire peninsula but averaging 15000-18000 steps a day is taking its toll! Back to Beaulieu and supermarket shop  for lunch, then back up the hill! 🥺
